Pray for Jen please....

Jen is still ok, but she is still showing several signs that the preeclampsia is not letting up totally. Also, the bleeding still appears to be a problem.

Please pray for my wife. I am determined not to fear, but to trust our Lord and Savior to take care of my wife. She is in His loving hands and I trust him. She is not in much danger right now, but they would really like to see her swelling and reflex signs of preeclampsia go away soon.

Our boys continue to do well this morning. Unfortunately, yesterday afternoon they had to put Clark and Isaac both on ventiators to assist them in breathing. But, the NICU says that they are taking the treatment well and should be just fine eventually. Brooks is still on CPAP, but does not appear to be struggling with that, so hopefully he will not need a vent. Henry, our smallest, is still doing amazingly well. He has no breathing assistance of any kind and continues to thrive.

Because of the CPAP tubes they have in front of his face, I have not been able to see much of Brooks' face yet. But, I had the overwhelming joy of holding him, my precious son, last night. And, this morning, he was crying when I got to the NICU and I got to put my hand in on top of his chest to comfort him. He immediately stopped crying and wrapped his little hand around my ring finger. His little hand doesnt even go half way around my finger. I hope to get to touch and interact with my boys more today.

Thank you for your prayers, we are almost out of the woods, but we need to cross a few more hurdles first. Jen is in God's hands, and it is there that I will leave her, please pray for her.

Jen & Brad - I completely understand what you're going through right now. I had HELLP Syndrome at week 32, not diagnosed until right before delivery. It's a severe form of preeclampsia that can really only be diagnosed w/ a blood test. I had no other symptoms of preeclampsia. The remedy is (1) delivery and (2) mag. I'm glad Jen's on it. I was on it for 5 days, titring the doses up/down to manage the hyper-reflexes. By day 5 they were gone. She'll get there - it's just going to take time. I hope her bleeding is getting better. There are remedies for that, too - some more invasive than others. But, as you know, you've got a PHENOMENAL doctor and he'll take a conservative approach as long as he can. We'll be keeping Jen and you in our prayers. The boys sound great. The smallest usually does the best, as you've been told. And nothing the boys are having done to them/needing at this point is unusual for their gestational age. Hang in there and keep us posted. Julie Burgess (triplets group)

Jen & Brad - I just want to tell you how much I'm enjoying reading the responses from your friends and family. HOW WONDERFUL to be surrounded by so many Christian friends. There's nothing like it, is there? I can feel the love and strength going your way from them as they pray for you. That's something very special. How blessed you are (that's a common theme, isn't it? ha ha) Julie Burgess.

I wish your babies continue do the better and your wife gets better too. Jen's body has gone through a lot these past few months to accomodate a pregnancy of four babies. It will take time to get back to normal. It's a process.

Best of luck to you.

Brad, I appreciate your strong faith for Jennifer. I'm sure that is a comfort for you both. Just think, in no time at all you'll be home with a bunch of little boys and lots of activity. Praise the Lord for who He is and what He has done. Prayers, Mike ane Fran Reese Danville

We are praying for Jen that the symptoms will quickly subside and go away and for great wisdom for your doctors as they treat Jennifer. Bruce & I saw a picture of the boys last night at our S.School Ground Hog Day party. (I guess that's what you call it. haha) I even called home and told Keeley to look up your blog and check out the picture of the boys.
Thankyou so much for keeping us all posted on your prayer concerns and how the boys and Jen are doing.

We love you

Jen and Brad,
The girls and I have already been praying today. I can remember those NICU days so vividly. Almost 7 years ago, and it seems like yesterday. From where I am sitting right now, I see our first family photo, the girls were 6 weeks old, and we were finally able to have them side by side. I will pray for your boys, and for Jen and her well being. Your attitude if right, God will protect. However, I am touched by your obvious love and protection for her. I will keep praying,

Jen and Brad:
We are absolutely thrilled for you! Your boys are so beautiful. Jen I hope that you will be feeling better soon, I'm sure you're anxious to interact with the boys as well! My Nathan was in the NICU for 11 days after he was born and I'll never forget the moment when the nurse looked at me from across the room and said, "Do you want to hold him?" After I realized she was talking to me, all I could do was nod, because I was crying to hard to speak (he was 4 days old). Keep writing to keep those wonderful memories fresh in your minds!

God bless you, we are praying!

Congratulations! I am so happy and grateful to God for the safe arrival of your beautiful baby boys. I have prayed and will continue to pray for their health, as well as the health and recovery of Jen. I heard about your family through my moms of multiples group, and I have been eagerly awaiting updates. Time in the NICU is not fun, but it will pass ... and before you know it, your babies will have gotten so much bigger that you won't even believe they were ever the size that they were at birth. God bless you!
